WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
MENTORING
Mentoring forms the heart of YoungLives. Mentors build relationships with teen moms, offering guidance in matters of faith, parenting and self-worth. This investment of time and heart has empowered positive, sustainable change in the lives of these beautiful families for more than 20 years.
#MOMS
Do you have skills or gifts and feel led to be involved in Young Lives? Consider joining our #MOMs committee! #MOMs is a group of amazing women and men who meet monthly and are dedicated to supporting the organizational philanthropy of the ministry. During our meetings we plan and coordinate projects and share in the efforts of day to day indirect ministry duties to allow our mentors to solely focus on what they do best - walking and living life with our teen parents! #MOMs truly is a "Ministry of Moral Support" to our YoungLives team!
CLUB
YoungLives club is our primary outreach event and provides a safe place for teen moms to come together to build friendships. Food, activities, music and childcare make club a fun place to hear about God’s love. Other YoungLives activities may include Bible study, group outings and life skills education.
CAMP
YoungLives camp is an extraordinary place! Mentors accompany teen moms and their babies to camp for a respite from the chaos of their daily struggles. Here, with their physical and childcare needs met, teen moms are immersed in the love God and can focus on their future.
DISCIPLESHIP
YoungLives uses mentoring, Bible study, and a variety of other discipleship methods to instill in teen moms core values about herself, her child, her relationships and her world.
SEND A MOM & BABY TO CAMP!
Each summer, we take teen moms and babies from Alaska to YoungLives camp for the best week of their lives! At camp, they'll get a chance to see and hear about God's extravagant love for them. Many of the moms we work with can't afford the entire cost of YoungLives camp. Would you consider helping send a mom and her baby to camp for a week? The total cost is $850. You can donate here.
